Baby & Child Havens serve abandoned and orphaned children and babies in a couple of homes in metro Johannesburg. Baby & Child Havens started when a newspaper article in a Johannesburg newspaper highlighted the epidemic of babies abandoned at local hospitals. David and Caroline Webb responded by opening the first Baby Haven in 2003. Many of our children are the healthy children of HIV+ parents and simply need a safe haven, education and nurturing. Many of our our children have been placed in their forever families, and we do all we can to provide a secure and understanding transition to their “forever families”. Our children are often victims of extreme poverty, from families affected by the HIV/AIDS crisis and sometimes having suffered neglect, abuse or abandonment. At the Baby & Child Havens, traumatised children return to the joy and security of childhood. For more information, please contact
